Para sample (2-3 paragraphs of your writing) Aline tapped her slender fingers on her desk, pursing her lips in deep thought. She glanced at a tattered copy of a paper back book that rested on the corner of the desk wistfully. Aline had already tried reading earlier; not much came from it though. To tell the truth, she was utterly bored. Usually she could find something to do, but this time it was different. Taking a walk was boring, training was boring, writing was boring, and reading was more boring than them all combined. Aline let go of a frustrated sigh and tipped back in her chair, a little too far obviously, because it sent her crashing down to her wooden floor. She smiled a little despite the shooting pain that pulsed through her back and stood, righted the chair, and sat down again. For once she was glad she was home alone and that her door was shut firmly.
